    The transformation of the Trawsfynydd nuclear power station marks a significant milestone in the decommissioning of nuclear facilities in the UK. Once home to a 392 MWe Magnox reactor, this site is now entering a critical phase of its long-term cleanup strategy. The awarded $94 million contract to Costain, an infrastructure company, aims to reduce the height of the reactor buildings by half. A significant challenge in this endeavor is the extraction of 10 overhead cranes housed within the structures.
