Ivo Strejček

Ivo Strejček is a member of the Executive Board of the Václav Klaus Institute in Prague. He studied Czech literature and English language at Masaryk’s University in Brno. Between 1996 – 1997 he was a spokesman to the Prime Minister Václav Klaus and a head of the Czech government’s press department. He was a member of the European Parliament for the Czech Republic between 2004 – 2014 where he focused on monetary affairs and international trade. Since 2015 he works as an analyst and a close advisor to Václav Klaus in the Václav Klaus Institute focusing primarily on affairs in the European Union.
