Matovič visits Macron in France

Slovakia – On Wednesday Igor Matovič Slovak Prime minister goes to an official visit to France.

The Slovakian Prime Minister will meet the President of the French Republic, Emanuel Macron on Wednesday. According to the press office of the government on the meeting they will discuss the pandemic situation, the EU restoration funds and other topics.

In the statement delivered to the TASR, the Slovak press agency, the two politician will discuss the economical politics of the EU, the future of nuclear energy – both countries are relying on nuclear energy – and the re-enforcement of the French-Slovakian bilateral connections.

The Slovak Prime Minister will also visit the small French town of Meudon. This is where the observatory can be found where Milan Rastislav Štefánik used to work. According to his statement, Mr Matovič will meet with the director of the Reporters without Borders NGO, Christophe Deloire, and they will talk about the freedom of press in Slovakia.
